About Us

Hi!  I am Robin Schumacher and working in retail has always been my life.  I have always loved watching people walk out the door finding exactly what they needed!  So after I graduated from the Fox Valley Technical College with an associate’s degree in Interior Design, I was employed by Macy’s as a Visual Manager for 3 years.  As I continued to learn more about the retail industry, it became my goal to own and operate my own business, continuing my parents and grandparents tradition. 

Then Initial Impressions went up for sale, and with the help of family and friends, our dream was about to come true!  My husband, Justin, is my right hand and can fix, design and create just about anything!  A lot of how we learn is all about trial and error. Our philosophy on getting an order done is that we will not let it leave our front door unless we would be proud enough to hand deliver it to you!  Justin and I enjoy meeting new customers and helping them find the perfect solution for their gifting needs, whether it be for a new baby, wedding, anniversary or special achievements!
